Individual Coaching to Shift Pathways in the Mind

Individual coaching is an opportunity to take a really good look at the patterns of your mind. You can then be coached to access your brilliant capacity to dissolve the limiting patterns that no longer serve you, and instead embrace new neural networks that expand your possibilities.

As you expand your awareness of the creative possibilities that you can manifest into your day to day life, you open your eyes to the opportunities that allow you to live a life aligned to your true values and your most vital energy.


Several days ago, I was hiking in the mountains with a friend. She asked me, “But what is wellness coaching? And what if I don’t have burnout - can I still see you? And what if I’m not interested in burnout prevention, can I still book a session with you? If I understand how to sleep and eat better and exercise - this is all common sense anyways - then what would I get in a session with you?”


I absolutely loved all of these questions. Although the depth of what I do in individual coaching sessions can be difficult to explain in a few sentences, these questions really challenged me to consider more intensively how to explain what my services offer.


For groups, wellness program design for corporations, and for corporate talks, there is a transmission of information that teaches up-to-date scientific knowledge to transform your lifestyle to support greater well being. We discuss how to tap into the motivation and techniques to effect change. These Classic Programs build your wellness intelligence step by step for greater mental focus, better energy, deeper sleep, and more to infuse your day to day life with more vitality. Problems addressed include burnout prevention, burnout, resilience training, recovery from vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue and adapting to situational stress including pandemic fatigue.

 

Each of the Classic Programs offered have the following: (i) specific steps that are measurable with a clear outcome in mind, (ii) keys to sparking your motivation for habit change and (iii) foundational neuroscience-based tools to help you increase your adaptive intelligence.

 

Within what I call the “wellness science” knowledge, there are seven steps for optimizing (1) sleep, (2) exercise, (3) nutrition, (4) your mind, (5) connections with others, (6) nature-baed wellness, and (7) achieving clarity on your purpose. These seven steps are part of the consistent programs that I have developed over the past ten or more years. These Classic Programs teach wellness-focused evidence-based science for greater mental power, mental performance, physical performance and emotional intelligence based in a deeper understanding that supports your brain and nervous system. In these classic programs, you review the neuroscience of resilience, burnout and burnout prevention, compassion fatigue, pandemic fatigue and vicarious trauma.




Within the individual coaching program, you commit to lasting personal change. During your initial thorough assessment session, we identify the main mental pattern that interfering with your desired life goal, and reflect on the brilliance within you that has the power to transform the interfering pattern. A brief guided meditation further clarifies the inner architecture of the interfering pattern and your inner core brilliance. You are then tasked with the daily practice of a specific meditation to transform the interfering pattern and bring in a new more supportive and energy-bringing mental pattern. The new energetic mental pattern is something that we clarify during the initial session. The new pattern will be unique to you as it is sourced from your unique inner intelligence, so that ultimately, you are driving this transformational change from the very genuine core of your true self. As you progress through the shifts that manifest from your home practice, you train your mind to become more aligned with a truth within you that brings energy and vitality.




In individual coaching sessions, I bring more of my full skills to the sessions that we have together. The kind of knowledge and skills that you access from me, depends on your readiness to listen. You will be more likely to be benefit from the individual coaching if the following foundations are in place: (1) regular sleep and exercise, (2) a healthy diet, (3) stable long term relationships and finances, (4) a readiness to let go of anger and fear in order to access deeper strength and calm, and (5) a readiness to commit to the practice.




So then, you may ask, well what are the full skills and what do I receive from the advanced individual coaching? In my life, I have been very curious about motivation. At the age of eight years old, my father reflected on how he could bring people the information on how to lead a healthier life free from disease, but he couldn’t always help people to have the motivation to change their lives. At the same time, I was observing many high powered professionals with extensive education and knowledge, struggle with stress and struggle to maintain their own vitality.

 

As an avid reader since quite young, I then began reading about motivation, wellness and well being, sleep, exercise, nutrition, meditation and emotional intelligence. I tried and trained in different approaches for my own optimal health as well as seeing the impacts of the different approaches on those around me and observed the outcomes. Over the years of my life, I have continually been devising strategies for optimal performance - mental and physical and emotional - based on my readings in evolving scientific literature, ancient meditation and yogic and shamanic practices, and also based in my studies on ecology, electromagnetism in living creatures, medicine, neuroscience and neuroimaging, neurocardiology, psychiatry, and the science of resilience and mindfulness.





In the individual coaching sessions, I have the time and energy to read you on several different levels. I begin to identify common patterns of thoughts and observe which of these are useful to you, and which are not useful. By useful, I mean which patterns bring you energy, vitality, happiness and intelligence, and which patterns drain your energy, cloud your mind and generate agitation, restlessness, frustration, fatigue and other such negative experiences. Given my experience in observing the nature of people’s emotional patterns from years of training in emotional intelligence, I also become aware of the emotional patterns interrupting your clarity. During the session, as I observe these things, I also observe your body language - even on the virtual platforms, I start to notice the patterns of your expression, the way you look out of your eyes, how you move and posture and when your eyes light up and you expand your self in strength and confidence and when you become more dull and less full of the vibrance of your true self. In the guided meditation part of the sessions, we begin to observe the internal landscape of your consciousness, and this is where the magic really begins. Here, I am then able to help you navigate through this internal landscape using metaphor, intuition, the frequencies of different states of your being and more to identify your inner roadblocks versus your inner brilliance. From here, we devise a physical language and a metaphorical language that combine to create a customized personal practice that then brings you to a place of greater vitality in your home practice.





The individual coaching is called the Energy Program. The Energy Program is an opportunity to understand how you are manifesting who you are into the world through an intensive analysis of several layers of energy that express where you are aligned with your truth, versus where you are at odds with your inner truth. You might think of it as a way to bring the different layers of yourself into greater harmony. As you bring yourself into greater alignment with the truth of your inner being, you then begin to live with less complication, less confusion and greater magnetism and ease. You might think of yourself as having several different layers of energy, that are brought into more synchronicity. The coherence of this synchronicity allows for more energy and efficiency of your overall system.





I hope that this writing may help you understand a little more about the wellness services that I offer. In summary, the Classic Programs are strongly science-based approaches to making physical and measurable changes in your lifestyle to confer greater well being. The Classic Programs offer keys to enhance well being, transform negative stress into positive stress, deepen your meditation practice, prevent burn out, help you recover from burnout, support you to recover from compassion fatigue, or educate you on ways to prevent vicarious trauma from overwhelming your nervous system. The more advanced and intensive Energy Program for individuals is sourced from my unique style of coaching. The coaching style I offer is created from a blend of knowledge traditions and a resulting skill set that can be accessed at different levels, depending on the type of change you wish to embody. Ultimately your transformation in the Energy Program is driven by you, and is suited and customized in response to how you show up in your sessions and in your home practice. As a potentially powerful method for effecting personal change, the outcomes of the Energy Program can shift the way that you live your entire life, and expand your possibility for a more vibrant future. Ultimately, the outcome depends on how you embrace and practice the knowledge that you gain from the awareness that becomes illuminated in the Energy Program sessions.
